A governess is a specialist nanny or a childcare worker who is normally focusing on certain skills or educational targets of the children in their home or during their travels (GCSE, foreign language, music, history, religion) while also ensuring their general well-being. The children they are looking after are normally a minimum of 5 years old.
They often hold a relevant certification and have a fair amount of childcare experience. They should be positive, flexible, calm, kind but firm, confident and patient.
