Housekeepers are the most common household member. They are in charge for creating a safe and healthy family environment to live in by keeping it free from bacteria and clean to high standards. They are flexible, self-motivated and have high attention to detail. 

Their duties normally include:

  • looking after laundry and ironing 

  • making beds

  • shopping and running errands, restocking when required

  • decluttering and general tidying

  • deep cleaning of all the rooms, including mopping, cleaning appliances

  • cooking and preparing meals

  • taking care of pets

  • light childcare

Housekeepers can be offered a live-in position with accommodation and meals. Full-time housekeepers often work in combination with childcare, personal assisting duties, driving and cooking. They can also work for cleaning service companies, hotels, or clients performing various cleaning and housekeeping duties.
